With Gratitude and Peace

image002The Acorn offers many metaphors and symbols, including a few noted below.  Members of Colman Knight share this token with you during the present Thanksgiving season as a symbol of precious life and the invitation to nourish all life with care, connection and dignity. May this Thanksgiving generate a wellspring of gratitude in you for your life and for the lives of others. May this acorn be a powerful symbol of love and generosity you keep close to your heart wisdom.

The acorn was the ancient Nordic symbol of life. An old folk belief holds that carrying an acorn insures a long life. During the Norman Conquest, the English carried dried acorns to protect themselves from the brutalities of the day. It is considered to be an emblem of luck, prosperity, youthfulness and power. The acorn also represents spiritual growth.

Our country is calling for connection in the aftermath of the election. Whether your candidate won or not, there is an urgency to open our hearts and learn valuable lessons. For some this may seem confusing, for others it may be painful, and for others it may be the next logical step. Wherever you are, ultimately we are all in this together. Ultimately, we leave this precious earth. Ultimately, it’s this moment right now.   At Colman Knight, as always, we practice what we offer living in direct experience. Carrying our own acorns of life, we offer this acorn message to you.  Rich blessings and gratitude to you and all of us
