About Karin McLaughlin
EA (Enrolled Agent for the IRS)
Serving Colman Knight as a Tax Specialist, Karin brings many years of experience in tax accounting. Prior to joining Colman Knight, she owned and operated a successful personal income tax practice combining extensive experience in fiduciary taxation within a law firm environment.
Assisting clients with a personal touch is her genuine nature. She believes in building trusted relationships through thoughtful conversation and attention to not only accurate tax preparation but listening and skillfully responding to what is most supportive for clients.
As a native of Southern California, her move to Massachusetts for her undergrad at Bentley felt like another country. Over time she grew to love the region—especially the beauty of the changing seasons—and chose to make it her home to raise her family.
Karin’s three children presently are studying at college, and she is fortunate to stay close to them. One child attends a nearby school. Her other two children are collegiate athletes creating opportunities for travel with her husband and to cheer them on at their games.
At home, Karin enjoys gardening and feels privileged to volunteer weekly at Mustard Seed Catholic Worker, which serves dinner every weeknight, provides a food pantry, essential supplies, and fellowship to its guests.
Karin was drawn to Colman Knight because of the firm’s strong values and commitment to personal client service—principles that closely reflect her own. From her first conversation with Gayle and the team, she boldly and emphatically indicated that she was a perfect fit for the firm, grounded in shared values and a dedication to exceptional client care.
